The Bay Area Association of Realtors have once again recognized Jimmy White and Mary Elaine Casson of the Long & Foster Kent Island Office as the top producers in the Bay Area for 2011, the fourth straight year they have earned the award.

Jimmy and Mary Elaine, known as the Jimmy White Team, settled more than $17 million worth of real estate in calendar 2011, selling more total homes and more than double the waterfront properties of any other Realtor in Queen Anne’s County.

When asked about the secret to his success in what everybody agrees is a difficult market, White answered with complete candor, “ It’s a mix of hard work, attention to detail and superior marketing with a emphasis on the internet and social marketing techniques. We constantly examine everything we do to make sure our sellers and buyers receive the best service and information possible to make decisions. We are available by cell 24/7 to make sure we never miss an opportunity to make a sale.”

As an example, White cites their main website, www.kentislandtoday.com. “We’ve been refining this website for three years and think it is the best one for real estate searches in the greater Kent Island area. People may not know to search for Grasonville or Queenstown or Stevensville, but everyone has heard of Kent Island.” The site offers one click convenience in searches for waterfront homes, horse properties, active 55 communities and properties by neighborhoods.

White also credits the quality of the marketing materials produced for his clients and his team, most especially due to the efforts of Mary Elaine Casson. “ I believe in the concept of doing what I do best and hiring the rest. Mary is among the finest Realtors I have ever met and we could not provide the quality of service we do without her knowledge and experience. We also bring in the best professionals in all the activities related to the sale of Real Estate (photography, financing, web presence management, ad placements, etc.) to make sure everything is done right.” White added that the local support of his broker, Long And Foster, is also critical. ” Our Branch Manager Elinor Warring is a tremendous asset to our team,. and all of the Kent Island office agents are a great help for that matter.”

He also points out that while short sales are not the norm in the Bay Area, Mary Elaine has developed a strong knowledge of the ins and outs of that approach where it’s necessary. “She knows the procedures and important players to confidently steer a seller through the extraordinary minefield short selling represents,” offered White.
